Week one 2D/3D assignment:
Build a cannon and get it into UE4



Mission accomplished! 

Having never opened a game engine before in my life, this part of the assignment was a bit...tedious...but the concept of the "engine" makes a whole lot more sense now.

PS I may or may not have wasted time geeking out about this.



These are screenshots of the model. I've been using Maya 2012 until this point, so 2016 was a bit of a head trip at first, but we're friends now.  The model itself wasn't very complicated, but the challenge for me has been to get out of the "quads only" mindset and embrace the use of triangles. OK, the triangles still stress me out actually - I'm working on it. I'll get there!
